Golden Finance reported that the United States has proposed a plan to extend the current ceasefire agreement in Gaza to April, allowing it to last across Ramadan and Passover. According to a statement released by the White House on Friday, the proposal aims to provide more time for negotiations to end hostilities permanently. According to a statement from the relevant office, the proposal, known as the "transition" plan, was proposed Wednesday by U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Witkov and National Security Council official Eric Trager. The statement further details that the proposal has been communicated to Hamas through Qatar and Egyptian partners. The statement made it clear that this "transition" plan needs to be implemented as soon as possible. In addition, the proposal also calls for the immediate release of Itan Alexander, who has dual American and Israeli nationality.
