Golden Finance reported that on February 7, according to NPR, Marko Elez, an employee of the Musk Administration's Department of Efficiency (DOGE), resigned after his past racially discriminatory social media remarks were exposed. The 25-year-old former X and SpaceX employee, who was previously responsible for cost cutting and combating fraud at the U.S. Treasury Department, is one of two DOGE interim appointees who have access to the Treasury’s highly sensitive payment system. An official in the White House who was not authorized to speak publicly has confirmed the resignation.
