Golden Finance reported that Bitcoin rose slightly during the day but was trading below the key level of $100,000 that it recently broke through, as the cryptocurrency appeared to be struggling to maintain its upward momentum. Last Thursday, Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $103,000 after U.S. President-elect Trump nominated pro-cryptocurrency Paul Atkins to serve as SEC chairman. “Bitcoin briefly topped the $100,000 mark again yesterday, but fell sharply as stocks sold off shortly after the U.S. stock market opened,” Trade Nation analyst David Morrison said in a report.
