Golden Finance reported that multiple blockchain security experts said that North Korean hackers may be behind the multi-million dollar attack on the Phemex cryptocurrency exchange. The Singapore-based exchange was breached on Thursday. The Singapore-based exchange suspended withdrawals earlier on Thursday after being alerted to suspicious activity by multiple blockchain security firms. Around $30 million was stolen at the time, but it appears the attacks are continuing and more coins have been stolen.
SomaXBT.eth stated that the person behind the attack is likely to be an organization associated with or based in North Korea. "The attack vectors are similar to their attacks," he said. "I've never seen their activity on other chains."
