Golden Finance reported that Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley said that in January 2023, the company’s partner banks said they would no longer cooperate with them because they were “engaged in the cryptocurrency business.” It is reported that Anchorage itself is a federally chartered bank and was subject to OCC review, but was disqualified from participating in banking business due to its involvement in cryptocurrency.
