According to CoinDesk, Ethereum's latest upgrade Pectra was activated on the Holesky test network on the evening of February 24, but failed to complete the final confirmation as expected. The upgrade contains 11 important improvement proposals (EIPs), with the core proposal EIP-7702 aiming to improve the user experience of crypto wallets, while EIP-7251 increases the maximum stake in validators from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. Ethereum developers are currently investigating the reasons for failing to complete the final confirmation through the Eth R&D Discord channel. The next round of testing was scheduled for March 5 on Sepolia’s testnet, but the development team may postpone the testing time depending on the severity of the problem. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Ethereum test network has had similar problems. In January 2024, Dencun upgrades also failed to complete the final confirmation on the Goerli test network. After the two test networks are tested, the development team will determine the specific date of the main network upgrade.
