Golden Finance reported that the SEC stated in a statement that today is Gensler’s last day at the SEC. Chairman Gensler joined the SEC in 2021 after a long career in public service. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Under Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Markets, and Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes. He brings his extensive experience and knowledge of financial markets to the Chairman's position as we work together to advance the Commission's mission to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly and efficient markets, and promote capital formation. Although as committee members we approach policy issues from different perspectives, we also maintain dignity in our disagreements. Chairman Gensler has been committed to bipartisanship and a respectful exchange of ideas that help advance our service to the American public. For this, we are deeply grateful.
