EX.IO, an investment led by Sina's Huasheng Group, has obtained a license to operate a virtual asset trading platform issued by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

Golden Finance reports that Hong Kong virtual asset exchange EX. IO (Thousand Whales Technology (BVI) Limited) has received approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) under Category 1 (Securities Trading), Category 7 (Providing automated trading services) license and the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Regulations (AML0) to operate a virtual asset trading platform.
EX.IO is regarded as one of the virtual asset trading platforms licensed under the licensing system. It is invested by Huasheng Capital Group, a subsidiary of Sina, as the main investor, and Longling Capital and Weixin Jinke (HKG: 2003). A licensed institution with a brokerage background.
