South Korean financial regulators impose 0.6% regulatory fees on crypto exchanges

According to the Electronic Times, the Korea Financial Supervisory Office (FSS) has asked the crypto exchange to pay a total of 7.9 billion won (about 5.54 million US dollars) of annual regulatory fees. The fee is set at 0.6%, up from the initial estimate of 0.4%. These fees are subject to quarterly payment by the end of March, May, July and October each year. In addition to Korbit (which has operating income below 3 billion won, about $2.08 million), the fee allocation is as follows: Upbit operator Dunamu will pay 6.7 billion won (about $4.64 million); Bithumb will pay 900 million won (about $624,000); Coinone will pay 150 million won (about $104,000); Gopax will pay about 21.35 million won (about $14,800). The total fee for the four major exchanges is about 7.9 billion won (about 5.54 million US dollars).
