Golden Finance reported that James Howells, who tried to retrieve 8,000 bitcoin private key hard drives from a British landfill, appeal was again rejected, saying he would seek final relief through an international human rights bill. "The Crown Court of Appeal rejected my request. The British system of injustice works again," the early Bitcoin holder said, announcing that the next step would be to file a complaint with the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The British judge believed the case "had no realistic prospects for success" and "no other compelling reasons" to support the hearing. Howells will argue in ECHR that the British court violated his property rights and fair trial rights, saying "The British authorities want to cover up the matter, but I won't let them succeed." It is worth mentioning that the 8,000 bitcoins are worth about $660 million at current prices and were accidentally discarded in a landfill by their former partner in 2013.
