Golden Finance reported that OpenAI and Oracle plan to start deploying hundreds of thousands of AI chips from Nvidia to a new large data center in Abilene, Texas in the next few months, part of the first facility of the Stargate infrastructure project they spent $100 billion to build. According to people familiar with the matter, the data center is expected to install 64,000 Nvidia's highly sought-after GB200 semiconductor chips by the end of 2026. The chips will be installed in multiple halls in the data center in stages, with the first 16,000 chips scheduled to be deployed by this summer.
