According to Golden Finance, artificial intelligence startup Anthropic is finalizing a $3.5 billion financing round, which valuates the startup behind chatbot Claude at $61.5 billion. This shows that despite the disruptive impact of China's DeepSeek, investors are still eager to support promising AI companies. Anthropic initially planned to raise $2 billion, but increased its funding amount during negotiations with investors, people familiar with the matter said. Founded in 2021 by a former OpenAI employee and previously valued at $18 billion, the startup is considered one of the few AI startups with enough talent and funding to compete with OpenAI.
