Golden Finance reported that some institutional Fed sentiment models rated Powell's remarks as slightly hawkish, but within the neutral range. Analysts Jersey and Hoffman said the recent attitude of the Fed spokesperson shows that the Fed will maintain a "stand-hold" policy stance in the next few meetings, and Powell is unlikely to change that position. "It is unlikely that we will get any new information or insight into the function of the Fed's response from today's Congressional testimony, as the Fed may at least remain unmoved at the next meeting, and the banking committee's issues tend to be more political statements than currency Policy issues.”
