According to news on December 12, the EVM-compatible blockchain Cronos has completed the v1.4.0 Pallene upgrade, increasing transaction execution speed to 600 times. This upgrade introduces Block-STM technology to achieve parallel transaction processing within a single block, allowing the virtual machine to process up to 60,000 transactions per second (TPS). In addition, Pallene also introduced optimistic execution through Cosmos SDK 0.50, optimized block processing and network responsiveness, and upgraded the inter-chain communication protocol (IBC) to enhance cross-chain connectivity.
