On February 7, in order to combat malicious MEV behavior, BNB Chain launched a community governance proposal, calling on block builders, RPC nodes, validators and DApps to jointly prevent "clip" attacks. Proposal advocates: Eliminate bad actors - cut off the authority of malicious block builders; vote to eliminate validators who condonize such behavior. At the same time, the memory pool will be upgraded in 2025 to prevent transactions from jumping.
At present, BNB Chain has reached cooperation with head wallets such as Trust, Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, and Mathwallet to enable MEV protection for users to prevent sandwich attacks. The proposal is soliciting community votes and encourages users to actively report MEV attackers to avoid using unsafe RPCs.
