Golden Finance reported that Pepperstone’s senior research strategist Michael Brown said in a report that the U.S. November CPI data to be released tonight is unlikely to substantially change the near-term outlook for the Federal Reserve’s policy. Next week's 25 basis point rate cut appears certain, with labor market rather than price pressures being the main determinant of the policy shift at this point. Economists surveyed by the Wall Street Journal expect overall CPI year-on-year growth to accelerate to 2.7% in November from 2.6% in October, while core CPI year-on-year growth is expected to remain unchanged at 3.3%.
