Morgan Creek Capital founder Mark Yusko shared his insights on the crypto market in an exclusive interview and made decisions for 2025 a comprehensive outlook.
Despite the possibility of the U.S. implementing a Bitcoin strategic reserve, Yusko remains a firm believer in Bitcoin’s four-year cycle.
He predicts that after reaching a fair value of around $100,000, Bitcoin will undergo a parabolic rise that could push it to $120,000 to $150,000 by mid-2025.
"To me, fair value is right around that six-digit level. I think we're going to break through that six-digit level," he said. However, he warned that a bear market could come before the end of the year, warning that "starting in mid-2025, we will have another bear market."
Concerning Ethereum, Yusko is optimistic about its long-term dominance status is doubtful. While the approval of a spot Ethereum exchange-traded fund in 2024 is a milestone, Yusko questioned Ethereum’s competitive advantage.
He asked, “If Ethereum didn’t exist and was invented today, would anyone be using it?” As faster, cheaper alternatives like Solana and Avalanche become more popular, Yusko believes that Ethereum’s current market dominance may not be sustainable in the face of better technical solutions.
