Golden Finance reported that on February 5, according to TheBlock, Chainalysis's 2025 crypto crime report released by Chainalysis pointed out that the amount of ransomware payments in 2024 fell by 35% year-on-year, from US$1.25 billion in 2023 to US$813 million. The report shows that the amount of ransomware in the first half of the year once exceeded the same period in 2023, of which Dark Angels organized a single blackmail of up to US$75 million. However, ransomware payments fell sharply in the second half of the year, resulting in a decline in the total amount for the whole year.
