The UAE SCA has released a draft securities and commodity token regulatory currency

According to news on January 24, according to the official website of the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), the SCA has released a draft regulation of securities and commodity tokens and invited the public to provide feedback before February 14, 2025. According to the draft, security tokens include equity tokens, bond tokens, and Islamic bond tokens, and commodity tokens include gold tokens, oil tokens, etc. These tokens are built on the blockchain/DLT platform and can be traded on the virtual asset DLT platform.
Among them, security tokens and commodity tokens can only be traded and settled through markets or alternative trading systems, while bonds and sukuk can be traded and settled over-the-counter.
