Golden Finance reported that Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett said on the X platform that the Senate Banking Committee will meet next Wednesday to vote on whether to renominate SEC Democratic Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw. If the Senate votes to confirm, she will be able to serve on the committee until 2029. If she is not confirmed, Trump will be able to nominate someone else. It is reported that during her tenure on the committee, Caroline Crenshaw has been an ally of SEC Chairman Gary Gensler and a supporter of his policies, pushing for stricter climate reporting requirements. She also voted against the approval of a BTC spot ETF.
