Golden Finance reported that Fed Goolsby said that the state of the U.S. economy will determine the speed of future interest rate cuts by the Fed, but he added that he hopes the Fed can find a point to stop cutting interest rates by the end of next year. "I would hope that things continue to evolve so that we can get closer to the range of neutral policy," Goolsby said. While he didn't specify his estimate of a neutral rate, he said it would be around the 3% level (well below The current interest rate range of 4.5% to 4.75% is roughly equivalent to the midpoint of the stopping point forecast by Fed officials at the September meeting).
