Golden Finance reported that U.S. mortgage rates fell for the second consecutive week. Freddie Mac said on Thursday that the average level of 30-year fixed-rate mortgages in the United States was 6.69%, the lowest level since October 24, and further down from 6.81% last week. However, borrowing costs remain well above September levels and real relief from stress may be far away. Real estate company Redfin expects 30-year mortgage rates to remain fairly close to 7% throughout 2025.
