Golden Finance reported that U.S. mortgage rates fell for the second consecutive week. Freddie Mac said in a statement Thursday that the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was 6.69%, the lowest since Oct. 24 and down from 6.81% last week. Borrowing costs remain well above September levels and real relief from stress may be far away. Redfin Corp. expects 30-year mortgage rates to remain fairly close to 7% throughout 2025.
