U.S. 10-year inflation-protected Treasury bond yield hits highest since 2009

Golden Finance reported that the U.S. Department of the Treasury issued US$20 billion of 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), and the winning bid yield was 2.243%, the highest since January 2009, and 1 basis point higher than the pre-issuance trading level at the time of the bidding deadline. Demand was slightly lower than expected. Primary dealers were allocated 10.2%, lower than the previous time, direct bidders were allocated 23.3%, and indirect bidders were allocated 66.5%. The bidding multiple was reported at 2.48 times, and the average of the previous three times was 2.39 times.
