Golden Finance reported that the crypto wallet Keplr completed a US$5 million seed round of financing at a valuation of US$50 million. This round of financing was led by 1confirmation, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, HashKey Capital, Chorus One Ventures, Skip Protocol, Binary Builders, etc.
Keplr co-founder Josh Lee said the round of equity funding closed late last year.
It is reported that Keplr launched the wallet in 2021, initially focusing on the Cosmos ecosystem. Despite the setback in the Terra incident, Keplr still claims to be the largest Cosmos wallet, with over 2 million users. Last August, Keplr launched support for the EVM chain, enabling users to manage Ethereum assets directly within the wallet.
Keplr currently has no plans to issue tokens.
