Golden Finance reported that on December 4, local time, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell said in an interview that day that the Federal Reserve was created by Congress and acts on behalf of all Americans without regard to politics. Powell added that he was not concerned about Congress changing the Fed's independence and rejected suggestions that the president should have a say in interest rate policy.
