Golden Finance reported that according to the Korea Herald, late on Tuesday night, the President of South Korea declared a state of martial law. But the deal will be short-lived if the opposition-controlled Congress votes to scrap it. After South Korean President Yoon Seok-yue made the unexpected move, the opposition Democratic Party quickly mobilized to repeal the measure, despite earlier reports that access to South Korea's parliament building was blocked under an emergency order. Democratic Party leader Lee issued an emergency instruction to all members tomorrow, requesting a meeting in the National Assembly Chamber. Despite the ordinance's access restrictions, lawmakers began gathering in an effort to rescind the declaration. As of 11:54 p.m. (10:54 Beijing time), it was unclear how many people had entered the building.
