On January 20, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, posted on social media regarding the suggestion that the Ethereum Foundation could pledge its ETH. Historical concerns were: 1. Regulatory issues; 2. If the Ethereum Foundation pledges itself, This effectively forces us to take a stance on any future contentious hard forks. There are fewer regulatory issues than before, but there are still problems with the Ethereum Foundation’s self-staking. There are definitely ways to minimize, and we've been exploring those lately.
