According to Yonhap News Agency Infomax report on January 20, in order to avoid the recurrence of transaction connection delays caused by computer system failures encountered by various crypto exchanges in the country after South Korea declared a state of emergency on December 3 last year, South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, as well as Bithumb and Coinone, submitted response plans to the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) last month. One of the key measures in these plans is to add a special clause to the contract with Amazon Cloud Services (AWS). This provision allows for a temporary increase in server capacity when AWS cloud traffic exceeds preset limits to ensure temporary expansion of server capacity during periods of high traffic to avoid similar system failures.
