Golden Finance reported on January 17 that according to Unchained, Trump criticized the blockchain company Ripple for not supporting him during the election and instead providing financial support to Kamala Harris. The report quoted an Axios article as saying that Trump once said in a meeting with a representative of an unnamed company that the company did not stand by him at a critical moment. Sources identified the company as Ripple, but a Ripple spokesperson denied this and said the rumors were “completely untrue.”
As previously reported, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen has donated more than ten million dollars to a political action committee supporting Harris, and believes that Harris can correct the Biden administration's major mistakes in encryption policy.
