Golden Finance reports that Ripple Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz recently joined the list of technology founders who oppose Operation Chokepoint 2.0 – a government-run debanking operation targeting the crypto industry. Schwartz said governments are “addicted to indirect regulation” and listed four reasons why debanking undermines the rule of law. Schwartz argued that debanked entities would switch service providers or move funds underground — evading surveillance and sanctions controls altogether. The CTO also said debanking would undermine due process, free speech and rights against unlawful searches and seizures.
