Bitcoin miner Gryphon spends $18.7 million to acquire Canadian natural gas industry land

Golden Finance reported that Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company Gryphon's stock price rose 20% on Friday after it announced the acquisition of an 850-acre industrial land powered by natural gas from Canadian oil and gas company Captus Generation for US$18.7 million. According to the acquisition agreement, Gryphon will pay Captus parent company BTG Energy 24 million Canadian dollars (approximately 17 million U.S. dollars) in cash and issue 3 million Canadian dollars in restricted stock to the new management team. In addition, Gryphon recently acquired the bankrupt assets of Canadian power company Erikson National Energy for C$2 million, including natural gas and oil wells and facilities in northeastern British Columbia.
