According to the news on January 14, the Eigen Foundation announced that the Protocol Council has been officially launched, and the Foundation has completed the final lock-in transaction to transfer control to the Council. The Protocol Council is the core decision-making body of EigenLayer governance and is responsible for reviewing and approving EigenLayer Improvement Proposals (ELIPs) to ensure that all protocol upgrades comply with security requirements and support the sustainable development of the ecosystem. The council members are composed of diverse representatives from the Eigen ecosystem and aim to promote the decentralized governance of the protocol.
