Golden Finance reported that the Web3 working group of the Digital Society Promotion Headquarters of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan held its second study meeting, and the topic focused on the review of regulations related to encrypted assets (virtual currencies). The meeting discussed the different regulatory approaches to crypto-assets and traditional securities and explored the direction of future regulatory revisions. Participants believed that in addition to investor protection, coordination with overseas supervision and smooth transactions must also be taken into consideration, and it was recommended that disclosure regulations, market access and behavioral norms be further improved. In addition, some experts pointed out that the existing regulatory framework restrictions should be abandoned and more detailed regulations should be discussed based on the characteristics of crypto assets.
