Citi strategists expect the MSCI World Index to rise 10% this year, with returns "more balanced" between regions, Golden Finance reported.
Beata Manthey's team expects the gains to be widespread only after Trump takes office later this month. Global corporate earnings per share are expected to grow 10% in 2025; in the U.S., the gap between the Big Seven and other stocks is expected to narrow. Global healthcare stocks were upgraded to overweight; consumer discretionary, utilities and industrials were downgraded to underweight. Maintain an overweight stance on U.S. stocks; recommend Europe as their "favorite cyclical diversifier" because "bearish peaks" are "showing signs of an inflection point." (Golden Ten)
