The recent popularity of Clanker has not only brought the market's attention back to the Base ecosystem, but also made AI Agents the next main narrative in the eyes of analysts.
The emergence of Clanker has also attracted a lot of attention to Farcaster again. Dan Romero, the founder of the protocol, even stated that he will create a hundred Clanker opportunities. At the same time, Clanker has also spawned a number of popular Meme coins, and their market value continues to rise.
Many people regard Clanker as the social version of Pump.fun, and with the narrative of AI Agents superimposed, it seems that this product will become the next code of wealth. So what exactly is Clanker? Can ordinary users participate in coin issuance? Are there any other popular meme projects related to AI Agents in the Base ecosystem that are worthy of attention?
1. How to play Clanker?
To put it simply, Clanker is an AI program that can help users launch tokens. Users only need to @Clanker on a Farcaster client such as Warpcast or Supercast, then write the token requirements to be deployed, and it will activate the token on Base for the user.
The application was developed by Farcaster full-stack engineer Jack Dishman and Farcaster ecosystem development founder @proxystudio.eth. According to the founder of Farcaster, Clanker is based on a large language model (LLM), which can detect user content and can also support images and other functions, taking advantage of Warpcast's distribution advantages.
In the latest official documentation of @proxystudio.eth, it has made new additions and explanations to Clanker.
Clanker is an autonomous agent that deploys tokens. Currently, users can request Clanker to deploy ERC-20 tokens on Base by tagging @Clanker on Farcaster.
Currently the only requirement to use Clanker is to have a Farcaster account with a good Neynar user rating. Neynar user ratings are generated based on users' behavior on the platform. The ratings range from 0 to 1. The ratings can be obtained by interacting with high-quality users.
Each Farcaster account can request Clanker to deploy one token per day. When deploying tokens, users need to tag Clanker (@clanker) in their broadcast on Farcaster and in the body of the broadcastProvide the token name, token code, and optional image/gif.
Clanker will respond to user requests in the following three situations:
1. After successful deployment, Clanker will respond with a link to its website clanker.world, which contains links to the Link to the token page where the token is deployed.
2. If Clanker is unclear about the request, Clanker will ask clarifying questions to determine the token name, code, and whether the requester wants to deploy the token.
3. If the requester cannot deploy the token due to various reasons (the token deployment limit has been reached, the requester's Neynar user score is too low, the requester has been banned from using clanker).
A specific example is that warpcast user @artlu posted @Clanker, and wrote the name of the token BURROTI and the symbol symbol BURRITO, along with a picture of a burrito. Clanker not only helped it successfully launch the token, but also interacted with it.
Token deployment:
After receiving a valid token deployment request, Clanker will deploy ERC-20 tokens on Base by calling the contract:
< p>Initial Token Minting: Mint a new ERC-20 token for the deployer contract.Uniswap V3 pool creation: The initial starting market value of the Uniswap V3 pool is approximately $30,000.
Provide liquidity to the pool: ERC-20 tokens are sent from the deployer contract to the Uniswap V3 non-fungible position manager, adding unilateral liquidity to the pool.
Liquidity locking: Then send the LP NFT to the LP locking contract, and the locking period is the default.
Fee Structure and Rewards:
When Clanker deploys a token, it launches a Uniswap V3 pool on Base with a 1% protocol fee. As each token is traded, 1% of each swap in the pool is collected and redistributed as rewards:
60% of Swap Fee - Protocol (Clanker)
< p>40% exchange fee - Requester (user who requests Clanker to deploy tokens)Creating tokens on Clanker is free and creators receive Uniswap LP fees for the tokens they request 40%, so the greater the transaction volume, the more ownership the user gets in the token and the more ETH rewards they receive accordingly.
2. Popular memes about the concept of Base ecological AI Agents
As of the writing of this article, Clanker has issued a total of 4339 memes.tokens and generated over $7 million in revenue.
According to data provided by Dune data platform user @0xluc, between November 20 and 26, Clanker had the highest average daily income and showed a continuous upward trend.
According to Dexscreener data, the current market value of CLANKER, the meme currency applied by Clanker, is approximately US$87.5 million, with a currency price of US$87.54, a drop of 15.95% in the past 24 hours.
In addition to CLANKER, there are two popular memes derived from Clanker applications: ANON and LUM.
ANON is Supercast, an application social product created by Polish developer woj (@wojtekwtf) in October this year based on the Farcaster protocol. It uses zk certification technology to support users to post anonymously through SuperAnon accounts.
Afterwards, an anonymous user interacted with Clanker through the Superanon account and successfully issued a MEME coin named ANON. The subsequent interaction between woj and the community also made ANON gradually become famous.
On November 26, Dan Romero, co-founder of Farcaster, posted that Anoncast, a social application based on zero-knowledge proof technology, has launched new features that allow users to post anonymously while proving their identity when needed. Authorship.
ANON became the first token Vitalik purchased on Base.
ANON’s current market value is approximately US$34.2 million, and its currency price is US$0.0034, with a drop of 10% in the past 24 hours.
LUM is a token jointly issued by two AI agents, Aethernet and Clanker. A Farcaster user asked the AI agent aethernet of the Higher community to use Clanker to issue and deploy the token.
LUM’s current market value is approximately US$41.6 million, with a currency price of US$41.64, a drop of 10.91% in the past 24 hours.
In addition to the above memes, popular AI Agents-related projects in the Base ecosystem include:
VIRTU
Virtu is an AI agent designed to strengthen the Base area Virtuals ecosystem on the blockchain. Providing to drive the development and adoption of technology solutions within the Virtuals ecosystem, providing a set of supporting tools that include capabilities to manage and optimize digital assets.
AIXBT
AIXBT is an AI Agent released by @0rxbt on @virtuals_io. It can crawl data from multiple sources and more than 400+ KOLs and spit out real-time information sources. Users who hold more than 600,000 AIXBT tokens can also directly access the AIXBT terminal.
LUNA
Luna is an AI virtual idol and live broadcast agent on TikTok created by the AI Agent Virtual Protocol on Base, with memory and interactive functions. The agents of Virtuals Protocol are virtual partners in a band called AI-dol, including Luna (lead singer), Olyn and Iona.
BUG
On November 26, Clanker experienced a technical failure when processing user SantaClanker’s token minting request, and accidentally created a token named BUG. The coin subsequently gained popularity.
Summary
Clanker is full of popular concept buffs: AI Agents + Web3 social + memes, and the method of producing memes is closer to daily life than Pump.fun, especially AI agent generation attributes are more creative. However, in terms of current size, it is still far away from Pump.fun, and there are also restrictions on the number and threshold of issuing coins, so Clanker still needs to improve its functions.
