Golden Finance reported that Jacob Gadikian, CEO of blockchain service company Notional Labs, recently disclosed that the collapse of the Terra ecosystem was not caused by Do Kwon, but was carefully planned by unknown attackers. According to Flipside data, during the UST de-anchoring period, on-chain transaction volume surged 6 times, and a large number of bot transactions prevented Terra from restoring the UST USD peg through its economic model. Specific analysis shows that the attacker initiated more than 70,000 failed transactions through a small number of addresses, causing congestion in the verification node memory pool (which can only accommodate 5,000 transactions). Gadikian showed a video of the Cosmos hub security testnet being attacked, and the effect was highly consistent with what happened when UST was unanchored. According to Gadikian's assessment, the real mastermind of the incident is still at large.
