Golden Finance reported that according to Reuters, Trump has not yet nominated a successor to the next chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the current chairman Rostin Behnam has previously announced that President Trump will be elected on January 20. The resignation on Inauguration Day means there may be a "gap" with the regulator for a period of time. Rostin Behnam led the CFTC for four years, during which time he was best known for his crackdown on cryptocurrency exchange Binance for violating anti-money laundering laws that ultimately resulted in one of the largest corporate penalties in history and the ouster of Binance CEO CZ.
