Golden Finance reported that on January 7, HashKey Group announced that it had obtained VASP registration approval from the Central Bank of Ireland and expanded its market to Ireland. Under the EU’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5), all crypto service providers in Ireland are required to register with the Central Bank for anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) measures. VASP license approval allows HashKey to offer a variety of crypto services, including fiat-to-crypto exchanges, crypto-to-crypto exchanges, custodial wallet services and the transfer of virtual assets on behalf of others. The Central Bank of Ireland also requires entities that assist issuers in the offer or sale of virtual assets in any capacity to obtain VASP approval.
