Golden Finance reports that Glassnode data shows that in the past two days, short-term holders, or those who have held Bitcoin for less than 155 days, sent 83,000 BTC (worth approximately $7.8 billion) to CEX at a loss. That’s the highest number on record, and analysts believe it typically signals a short-term bottom when this group tends to send $2 billion or more worth of tokens to exchanges. Bitcoin is currently trading just 7% off its all-time high, with investors who bought over the past week the only entities standing to lose money.
