Golden Finance reports that the Bitcoin staking protocol Babylon announced that it will launch the second phase of the testnet on January 8. The second phase of block production will begin at 17:00 on January 8, Beijing time, and the staking web application will be launched at 18:00 on January 8. Phase 1 testnet stakers will have the opportunity to register their stakes into the Phase 2 testnet Babylon chain. The second phase test network will launch a beta version of the Babylon equity proof chain, which is jointly protected by Babylon and Signet Bitcoin equity. Signet Bitcoin equity includes the Signet equity of the first phase test network and the newly created Signet equity. Babylon stated that the testnet only involves simulated test tokens (signet Bitcoin and test Babylon token), and the testnet has no incentives.
