In the process, we also unexpectedly discovered that the accumulation of daily research bit by bit is gradually causing qualitative changes, verifying that the research process also has an "emergent" phenomenon based on a large amount of information input. Further, we are thinking about whether we can further compress the key information and special research we have accumulated in the AGI database throughout the year into 50 keywords, so that more people can have the opportunity to master the basics of the AI field. What about the picture and future trends? We conducted this experiment with AI and completed this report.
Here we share our experimental process:
Step1: Based on the researcher’s tracking understanding of the AI field, eight major directions of large model technology and application are divided, namely: basic model, image processing, video Generation, 3D generation, programming assistant, Agent, on-device intelligence and embodied intelligence. Step 2: Invite researchers who are following up on each direction to carefully screen out about 30 keywords in each field based on the 2024 progress data of that direction in the AGI database, and then confirm the 6-8 most representative keywords through multi-person discussions. Step3: Learn from the "fast thinking" and "quick thinking" possessed by both humans and large modelsWith the two thinking characteristics of "slow thinking", we conducted a two-dimensional analysis of each selected keyword, and "supervised" and "guided" the AI to draw 50 AI keyword cards. In the "Quick Thinking" part, the researcher takes the lead, directing the AI to generate a brief introduction and visual expression of the keywords, and deciding whether to accept the generated results. If it does not meet the standards, the AI will be directed to redraw it. In the "Slow Thinking" section, the researcher provides the special research results accumulated in the early stage, confirms the logical format of the output, guides the AI to assist in sorting out the development context and trends, and finally generates core observations, logical chains and essential insights. Step 4: Based on the 50 card prototypes generated by human-machine collaboration, further proofreading and modification will be carried out, and the human designers will design and beautify them in the style we selected, and finally form the "AI Picture Decoding 50 Keywords" research report.It should be said that this is an unconventional exploration and an experiment of human-machine collaboration. The value lies in the fact that human researchers, with the assistance of AI, have realized the compression and extraction, trend judgment and visual expression of massive information in the AI field, so that ordinary people without a foundation in AI technology can understand the general outline of the AI field through these 50 cards. At the same time, we also need to point out that the rigor of this report, especially some of the visual illustrations, may not reach the level of a product written entirely by human researchers, and we also invite technical experts to criticize and correct it.
