Golden Finance reported that according to Businessinsider, former FTX executive Salame pleaded guilty last September to conspiracy to participate in illegal political donations and operate an unlicensed remittance business, and was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, which began in October this year. Salame's release date is scheduled for March 1, 2031, just over a year shy of seven and a half years, according to federal Bureau of Prisons records. A spokesman for the Bureau of Prisons said the agency does not comment on the conditions of incarceration, including release plans, for any detainee, but said that under the First Step Act of 2018, detainees can receive time off their sentences if they behave well.
