Golden Finance reported that Teresa Goody Guillén, former litigation counsel of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and partner at Baker Hostetler Law Firm, said that it is expected that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will file fewer cases against cryptocurrency companies in the new year. In the future, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Litigation can also only be brought if securities are involved, so if the lawsuit does not involve securities, the agency will refer these bad actors to the Department of Justice and other regulators, such as the CFTC.
