Golden Finance reports that Japan’s cryptocurrency-focused financial company SBI VC Trade will receive the assets of the hacked cryptocurrency exchange DMM Bitcoin, and the exchange’s customer accounts are expected to be ready in March next year. SBI stated in the announcement that it has agreed to receive all DMM customer accounts and assets, which will be migrated to SBI on March 8, 2025. The company said that DMM customers do not need to re-open accounts with SBI and SBI will automatically create accounts for transferred DMM users. DMM Bitcoin said earlier this month that it had decided to liquidate and transfer its clients to SBI after being unable to recover from a crypto wallet attack in May that resulted in the theft of $320 million.
