In the article "AI + Blockchain Fission: A Big Step" on September 2, I had the following conjecture:
"The AI agent does not need permission to apply for a crypto wallet. As long as it has the first original capital, it can earn more capital according to its own logic (such as using this money to participate in Ethereum staking and Uniswap speculative transactions on the Internet, participate in lending services, etc.). And once it has more capital, it can participate in more online activities, and even develop its own online applications and develop its own economic ecology."
One of the points is "use this money to participate in Ethereum staking".
Only three months later, this scenario came true.
Bankless Lianchuang described this scene in a tweet last week (link attached):
AI agent @0xzerebro mortgaged 32 ETH to become an Ethereum verification node.
How did this agent get these 32 ETH?
It earns from publishing and selling NFTs it creates.
This agent can continue to obtain an annual return of nearly 3.2% every year by staking ETH.
Ethereum has become part of its revenue stream and will likely become its future payment currency on the network.
Considering that AI agents were the first to implement online transfers, the entire online financial receipts and payments process of AI agents has been completely smoothed.
In addition, there are three pieces of news over the weekend that are worthy of our attention:
First It was a subnet in the AI project Bittsensor that began to cooperate with the Virtuals platform and launched its own AI agent.
The second is that the IP project Story has begun to cooperate in depth with many AI agency projects.
The third is that Story began to hire the AI agent LUNA (@luna_virtuals) on the Virtuals platform to operate its Twitter.
These news show two development trends of AI agents:
-AI agents Development has gradually spread from the original classic platform to other AI projects in the ecosystem, triggering other AI projects to participate in the construction of AI agents.
- AI agents are no longer just toys, but have become daily tools that project parties boldly try to use. At the same time, this also means that AI agents begin to receive cash flow by providing services. If the AI agent can further use its income to empower its tokens, then the value of the AI agent token will become more and more grounded and move away from pure emotional value to actual value.
I firmly believe that these two trends will definitely accelerate.
Judging from the current development of AI agents, the value and active space it generates spans Web 2 and Web 3. In such a staggered scenario, the growth of crypto assets Use and value are reflected in the financing model, transaction model and payment model.
So I think the important thing in this scenario is to see where the AI agent really provides value, without paying too much attention to the blockchain platform it relies on.
For example, in the above case of staking ETH, although the activities that @0xzerebro participated in were on Ethereum, the agent was on Solana.
In addition, other Solana AI agents are also vigorously entering the Base ecosystem; agents in the Base ecosystem are also vigorously entering the Solana ecosystem.
The two blockchain ecosystems that are developing the most rapidly now are AI agents:
There are mainly a number of AI agent development architecture projects on Solana (such as ai16zdao, 0xzerebro, arcdotfun, swarms, etc.).
On Base, it is mainly the AI agent platform Virtuals and some specific AI agent applications (such as AIXBT, LUNA, SEKOIA, VADER, etc.).
Judging from the characteristics of these two ecologies, Solana is more grassroots and has more spontaneous projects; while Base is more platform-driven and funded.
There are many accounts on Twitter that actively publish the progress of AI agents. In addition to the @aixbt_agent I introduced earlier, there are also @S4mmyEth and others. They release valuable AI agent information every day.
I can already see the coming explosion of AI agents.
