According to Golden Finance, four police officers from the Central Crime Branch of Bangalore, India have been investigated for suspected tampering with evidence of crypto assets. The assets are derived from criminal proceeds from international hacker Srikrishna Ramesh. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) found that officers illegally used their crypto wallet after arresting Sriki in 2020 and transferred Bitcoin through private network experts. At present, relevant investigations are still in progress and may involve a wider range of corruption.
