Golden Finance reported that the final annualized quarterly rate of real GDP in the United States in the third quarter was 3.1%, compared with the previous forecast of 2.8%. The final quarterly rate of real personal consumption expenditures in the third quarter rose to 3.7%. The data reinforce the view that the U.S. economy is still growing strongly despite expectations of an eventual slowdown. The Fed had previously signaled a slower pace of rate cuts in 2025, triggering a stock market selloff that was based in part on recent stronger-than-expected economic data. (Golden Ten)
