Gold Finance reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Acting Chairman Mark T. Uyeda directed the agency staff on Saturday to review several previously issued employee statements about the application of cryptocurrency investment and digital asset securities laws. This directive was issued in accordance with Executive Order 14192 (entitled “Promoting prosperity through relaxation of regulation”) and responded to the recommendations of the Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Uyeda said the statements will be reviewed to determine whether “modification or revocation” is required to comply with the current SEC priorities.
