According to Golden Finance, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME) average daily trading volume of cryptocurrency derivatives in the first quarter of 2025 reached 198,000 contracts, with a nominal value of US$11.3 billion, a record high. The trading volume of micro Ethereum futures reached 76,000 shares, and the annual increase of micro Bitcoin futures reached 113%, with an average daily trading volume of 77,000 shares. Due to the low threshold and the ease of risk management, micro-contracts have driven the overall transaction activity to soar.
